Air Duct Sealing Test

Air Duct Sealing Test

What is expected from the air ducts as a result is to deliver the air to its destination with the least leakage and transmission loss. Air ducts, unlike fluid lines, cannot and should not be fully sealed. It is also wrong to expect the same degree of tightness from all channels. Considering the function of the ducts, the places they pass through, the surface area of the duct, and the operating pressure, appropriate pressure classes should be defined by the designer, and manufacturing and control should be made according to these principles.

Tests required by international standards must be carried out during the installation phase for tightness tests in ventilation ducts.
